Description

"Nasser Hussain" is the ex-England cricket captain's Real Story, narrated by the man himself and is a wonderful insight into the life and times of an international sportsman.

He is, without doubt, one of England's most successful sporting captains. Inscribed indelibly on his cricketing CV are test series wins over Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the West Indies and Zimbabwe. This DVD shows all of Nasser Hussain's outstanding cricket moments and also takes a look at the man behind the sport and the pressures of life under the microscope.

Born in Madras in 1968 to an Indian father and English mother, Nasser Hussain became the first man of mixed ethnicity to captain his country. An outstanding batsman and brilliant fielder, he had a distinguished career with his county side Essex, before rising through the ranks to play test cricket for his nation. He played 96 test matches, 45 as captain, and scored 14 centuries, as well as 33 half centuries. His record of 17 test wins has only been bettered by three other men, Peter May, Michael Vaughan and Mike Brearley. With personal commentary throughout from Hussain, this DVD gets close-up and personal with the England cricketing legend, as he talks about his childhood, friends and influential family. It's a very different film that's both entertaining and insightful.

This is a great DVD, celebrating the career of Nasser Hussain, one of England's greatest ever captains, displaying his amazing batting ability, as well looking at the personality of the man himself.
