The official Tour de France DVD story of two of the greatest French cycling champions - Jacques Anquetil & Bernard Hinault.
The Tour de France has thrown up many legends over the years, but none more iconic to the French themselves than the legendary pair of Jacques Anquetil and Bernard Hinault.
Born in 1934 in Normandy, Jacques Anquetil became the first five time winner of the Tour de France following his epic battle with Raymond Poulidor in 1964. Known as 'Monsieur Chrono' for his ability to pedal with clockwork smoothness and at constant speed, Anquetil will always be known for his total dominance of the Tour in the early 1960s, winning 4 consecutive Tour titles from 1961-1964.
Like Anquetil, Bernhard Hinault also had a sensational cycling record. Known as 'The Badger' because of his reputation of not letting go of his prey, Hinault won the Tour at his first attempt and went on to match Anquetil's record of 5 Tour de France victories.
Two French cycling legends of the Tour de France, Jacques Anquetil and Bernard Hinault, are wonderfully profiled in this official Tour de France DVD.
