Matt Busby had been rebuilding United with fresh young players and now they were ready to regain their rightful place in the top of the football league. It was a match never to be forgotten. Newcomer Denis Law put up a heroic fight, scoring within thirty minutes of the match opening and going on to terrorise the Leicester defence during the rest of the game. Leicester made a come back in the second half but some awesome action from David Herd sealed Manchester United's glorious victory.
