This is a superb green t-shirt paying tribute, in a Ramones logo style, to the legendary Celtic side of 1967 - the Lisbon Lions.
The wording reads as follows: Lisbon Lions 1967
And the players names featured are: Auld, McNeill, Lennox, Gemmell and Johnstone.
On 25th May 1967, Celtic Football Club played Internazionale in the Final of the European Cup, at the Estádio Nacional in Lisbon. Despite going 1-0 down after a 7th minute penalty, Celtic went on to win 2-1 and become the first British team to win the European Cup - and deservedly so. They were a brilliant team, winning the 'Quadruple' that season, and eventually being immortalised as the Lisbon Lions. Some Celtic fans are still believed to have never returned from Portugal.
The full team that day was: Ronnie Simpson, Jim Craig, Tommy Gemmell, Bobby Murdoch, Billy McNeill, John Clark, Jimmy Johnstone, Willie Wallace, Stevie Chalmers, Bertie Auld, Bobby Lennox, with John Fallon as the un-used substitute goalkeeper. The team, of course, was managed by the legendary Jock Stein.
