Following a brief spell as landlord to the Commonwealth Games in 2002, the new stat-of-the-art, 48,000 seater City of Manchester Stadium became the residency of Manchester City Football Club. After spending an additional £35 million on the ground to optimise its capacity and lower the playing surface, City christened the pitch with a fantastic win over the mighty Barcelona in a pre-season friendly. The Premiership campaign also began well and there was a brief flirtation with the summit. This DVD delivers everything and more including a derby day hammering of Manchester United and that extraordinary FA Cup comeback to beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-3.
