2008/09 was a season which saw Manchester United crowned as FIFA World Club Champions, clinch the Carling Cup with a 4-1 penalty shoot-out win over Spurs, and by winning the Premier League equalled Liverpool's record of top flight league titles. United also reached the Final of the 2009 Champions League, only to be beaten by an excellent Barcelona side.
Apart from the cups and titles along the way there were memorbale wins over Internationale in the Champions League, the 3-0 thrashing of Chelsea, the last minute 3-2 victory over Aston Villa, and that superb 2nd half comeback against Spurs to win 5-2.
