But the Cornishman was up to the task and in 5 astonishing minutes, had put Everton level at 2-2. From then on, there was only one winner and the decisive goal came 16 minutes from time when Derek Temple latched on to a mistake from Wednesday's Gerry Young, running through to slot past Ron Springett. On top of a classic match, there was also the infamous pitch invasion from Everton legend Eddie Cavanagh.
