For many, the mid 1960s will be remembered as the Bobby Moore treble. Following a 1964 FA Cup win at Wembley, Moore returned with his West Ham team to win this memorable Cup Winners Cup trophy against Munich 1860 at the great stadium again. Moore of course led England out against West Germany a year later in the famous 4-2 triumph of 1966, thus completing a unique hat trick of Wembley wins. This DVD shows all the drama from that marvelous European night, when West Ham Football Club really came of age on the world stage.
It was a game full of flair and attacking movement as the German side from Munich matched the Londoners for pace and skill. Coached by the legendary Ron Greenwood, Bobby Moore's men, including the likes of Martin Peters and Brian Dear, finally made the pressure tell on the Munich defence with two goals from Alan Sealy late on. As well as the whole 90 minutes of the game itself, there are some smashing interviews from some of the heroes from the night, making this a truly excellent souvenir.
This is, quite simply, a must-have for any fan of West Ham United, detailing all the memories from a wonderful night at Wembley and a European victory for The Hammers.
