Simon Holmes

Simon Holmes was born in Irvine, Scotland and started playing National and International Amateur Golf Events in 1983 throughout United Kingdom and Europe. He suffered major injury to both wrists during the British Amateur Championships 1986 at Royal Lytham Golf Club. After recovering in 1988, went to David Leadbetter to have lessons at Grenelefe Resort in Haines City, Fl.

Simon was then instrumental in establishing the first Leadbetter Academy in Europe at Montpellier, France from scratch, which grew to more than 10 bases in France alone. From August 1991 until the end of 1992 he travelled extensively with Nick Faldo. During this period Nick Faldo was world No 1 and was impressively successful all over the world including The Open Golf Championship, where Nick credited Simon with his success.
