The Rugby League Tri-Nations is a rugby league tournament played between Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand.
The first Tri-Nations tournament was held in 1999 with Australia crowned as Champions. The next Tri-Nations took place in 2004 with Australia again victorious. In 2005 New Zealand won the tournament and it was 'business as usual' for Australia in 2006.
The 2009 Tri Nations Rugby Tournament
With New Zealand being involved in a 'Centenary Tour, the Tri-Nations is due to recommence in 2009 with four teams taking part: Australia, England, France and New Zealand.
Despite Great Britain's lack of success in the Tri-Nations, the tournament is now usually followed by a popular DVD release providing all the highlights, as well as behind-the-scenes footage following the Great Britain team.
