Queens Park Rangers Football Club was formed in 1882 and moved to their now familiar ground of Loftus Road in 1917.
QPR's highest ever League finish occurred in the 1975/76 season when, under manager Dave Sexton, they finished as Runners Up to Liverpool in the old First Division. Equally famous though was the 1966/67 season.
QPR: First League Cup Winners
In March 1967 3rd Division QPR beat 1st Division, and League Cup holders, West Bromwich Albion in the first League Cup Final to be held at Wembley. Albion were 2-0 up at half time and coasting...enter Rodney Marsh...almost single-handedly Marsh turned the game around and QPR won the Final 3-2. Only a few weeks later QPR also clinched the Third Division Championship title and promotion to the Second Division - a unique feat.
